LAST DAY OF THE SUMMER

I remember when I was a kid summer seemed for me like such a LONG period of the year. And it took ages from one Christmas till another to come... Well, things have changed now... It feels like just one week ago I hid all my warm clothes in wardrobe and now again I'm planing what kind of coat I need for this F/W season, what kind of shoes and etc... This summer was too short... I protest! :)

And how about you? How was your summer? Is autumn already in your heart?

DRAGON'S CASTLE IN BONN, GERMANY

There are so many beautiful places in the world, that are so magically beautiful, that once you visit them, you want to come back there again and again... This is what I felt when I visited this beautiful Dragon's castle (Schloss Drachenburg) in Bonn (North Rhine-Westphalia), Germany. Amazing landscape, lovely fairy-tale like castle and view to former capital of Germany- Bonn: this is what you'll find, when you visit this place.

MY FAVORITE

Today I'm wearing my summer's favorite shirt.
My boyfriend always tells that the print of it reminds a little bit of grandma wardrobe, and indeed my mother had a very similar printed suit, but because of it I love the shirt even more. And I think in combination with this striped black&white skirt the outfit looks quite modern :).
As you maybe already noticed, I'm also wearing bracelet from my recent DIY post: http://julitastefashion.blogspot.de/2013/08/diy-bracelet-out-of-old-belt.html. The necklace is also a handmade piece, and it has an enormous meaning for me, because this pocket watch belonged to my grandfather... I really love clothes and accessories with the personal touch and history, and you? :)

DIY- DOTTY MANICURE

Hello dears,

I don't know why, but at the moment I really enjoy black nail polish. And here one of the manicure I made lately. I think these tiny dots make my manicure much more interesting, not to forget the good mood which I get when I'm looking at them :) I say yes to the black nail polish in summer and you? :)

DIY- BRACELET OUT OF AN OLD BELT

Albert Einstein : “If at first the idea is not absurd, then there is no hope for it.”

Re-use belt as a bracelet sounds a little bit strange even for myself, but I think for creativity and fashion there are no rules that couldn't be broken. :) The reason why I decided to make something out of this belt was for sure this beautifully ornamented metal buckle. At the beginning I was thinking to use the belt as a bag or clutch decoration, but then I realized that these cheaply looking hearts are not removable, so there was not enough length for this idea. So I end up with the plan to cut the belt and make a bracelet! At least to try to do it :)

So there is a final result of the bracelet:

And there is a short and very simple tutorial how I made it.

Neuschwanstein - The Must-See Place In Bavaria

"Neuschwanstein Castle (GermanSchloss Neuschwanstein, English: New Swanstone Castle is a 19th-century Romanesque Revival Palace on a rugged hill above the village of Hohenschwangau near F├╝ssen in southwest Bavaria, Germany." (Source: http://en.wikipedia.org

I was dreaming to visit the New Swanstone castle since I've moved to live in Germany. And to say truth, this travelling destination exceeded all my expectation: breathtaking landscape, incredible "fairy-tale" castle, pure mountain air... All nature and idyllic beauty lovers like me will be definitely in seventh heaven there. :)
By the way there is not only one object worth to see: in the same area you can also visit the castle of Hohenschwangau (the childhood residence of King Ludwig II of Bavaria) and the museum of the Bavarian kings. For those, who are not so interested in buildings and history - there are plenty paths to hike through the mountains. Thus active free time is guaranteed!
