DIY- Ombré Style Manicure

In season S/S 2013 Ombre trend is really one of the brightest stars in the fashion sky. But if you don't like ombré style hair dyeing or clothes, then you can make a little trend statement on your nails. I can definitely say that this manicure is my favorite lately, because it looks fresh, original, suits to almost every outfit and what is more is easy to make. I know there are lots of ombré nail tutorials in Youtube, but I created my way of doing it and maybe you will like it too. ;)

So here is a final result of the manicure, I'm going to present you:

DIY - Denim Shorts

I cant imagine S/S season without comfortable denim shorts. I think you too. Am I right? But the problem is, that if you want to buy shorts now, you have to be ready to pay for them more than 20 Euro, and in my opinion, it is too much for such a piece. That's why I decided to make hot season shorts by myself. I think it's almost the most easiest DIY project that can be created/found, but maybe I'll inspire you to re-use your old jeans and thereby save some money :)

This is how looks my DIY denim shorts now!

And here is photo story how I made them!

Free Yourself...

Have you ever thought how deep and wide we can free ourselves? Are there any possibilities in our communities to reach this personal freedom at all? We born, we go to the schools, universities, marry, buy houses, cars, watch television and other media channels, that content is formed from someone who has money and power. We are even told what we have to wear, eat and do in order not to look like old-fashioned beings...Yes, our society has rules - who stops - will be soon eliminated from this game called life... These and similar thoughts came to my mind when I was looking at this tattoo, which I found and saved to my computer, I think, already several years ago.
Yes, life is complicated when we start analyse it...:) But I believe that there is still one way how we can free ourselves and it's to be creative! I don't know how about you, but when I have possibility to create something I feel how walls of rules open and free wind comes to my mind... On that moment I really feel like having little wings to fly...

Have a good Fr(ee)day evening!

DIY - Original T-shirt Appliqué

Hello dears,

This DIY T-shirt already counts second year in my closet, but I think this idea how refresh basic T-shirt is really worth to share :)

First of all I have a question for you- what you usually do with your old bags and wallets?
I think most of you answered: "Well... I throw them away or give it to my little sister, friend or friendly neighbor"- Am I right? :) In my case, as I'm a little bit obsessed with DIY, before I throw something away I make sure I keep everything, what can still be re-used, for the future:) For example, this printed part of T-shirt decoration (in the picture below) was taken of an old wallet! Yes, I know it sounds a little bit crazy, but this wallet had this beautiful flower print so I just couldn't throw it simply  in the rubbish bin.
(By the way, from the same wallet I cut also card holder, which I used for my agenda: http://julitastefashion.blogspot.de/2013/01/new-look-for-2013-agenda.html )

So now short description how I made this T-Shirt decoration:
  • Cut a piece of leather or material with a print you would like to see later on your shirt;
  • Sew it on the shirt;
  • Frame this material by sewing lace tape around it;
  • Enjoy your original T-shirt! :)

If you like this T-Shirt, I would be very thankful, if you vote for it on Facebook or Instagram (Links are given below)! Because I'm participating in the DIY contest "Aussome Summer-Shirt" and I need your support :)

Thank you!!! :)

FFE - Highlights Of Rome Shopping Streets

When I'm going through the shopping streets, I all the time stop when I see an original and attractive window display. No, I'm not only looking at the clothes or accessories inside of them, what interest me - is the concept, main idea and how visual merchandising is actually working! (en.wikipedia.org: "Visual merchandising is the activity and profession of developing the floor plans and three-dimensional displays in order to maximise sales").
Sometimes shop windows become like mini catwalks, art works or galleries. In visual merchandising fashion meets art, technology, interior design, crafts, business, psychology, music, architecture and etc...That's why I find window displays interesting and inspiring:).
After such a "short" introduction, I would like to go straight to the point and show you some shopping streets highlights, that caught my eyes while visiting Rome.

Best window displays: 1st place
